The San Jose Group Welcomes Austin Kirksey

CHICAGO (July 27, 2010) — Austin Kirksey has joined The San Jose Group and will lead the strategic development and execution of programs for the agency’s healthcare and pharmaceutical clients. He brings a wealth of knowledge and best practices including patient education and direct-to-physician programs.

“Austin has a diverse background of marketing experience within the Hispanic, African American and General markets,” said Jim Legg, EVP of leadership and innovation at SJG. “He is a perfect fit for our team and the ideal account leader for brands targeting their multicultural consumer base.”
Most recently at Goble & Associates, Kirksey brings extensive pharmaceutical and healthcare experience having managed campaigns for numerous brands such as Precedex, Inomax, Sakura, Slo-Niacin, DuoNeb, AccuNeb, Curosurf and Replagal.  For Hospira, he led the corporate communications and branding efforts.
Kirksey also gained key understandings of the multicultural market while working with former clients OfficeMax Mexico and Saturn. While at SHC Direct LLC, he developed international and multi-lingual programs, including designing, launching and maintaining OfficeMax Mexico’s Spanish-language customer loyalty rewards programs. Within the automotive category, Kirksey managed and executed Saturn’s national promotions, as well as programs supporting new vehicle launches, that targeted U.S. multicultural markets.
