CHICAGO (July 13, 2005) — The San Jose Group is pleased to announce the hiring of Vanessa Colon as Account Manager. Colon is a seasoned communications professional with over 10 years of experience developing marketing and advertising programs for the Hispanic market.
Prior to joining The San Jose Group, Colon served as Account Supervisor for Globalhue, where she managed multicultural marketing programs for Daimler Chrysler. Colon supervised the development and execution of national Hispanic communications strategies for brands such as Dodge, Chrysler and JEEP. Prior to that, Colon worked as an Account Supervisor for Accent Marketing developing regional Hispanic marketing plans for several General Motors brands. Colon’s responsibilities included the management of all elements of the programs from concept through production, including research, strategy development, creative and media. Colon began her career developing integrated marketing strategies for clients such as Budweiser, Bud Light, Kmart and Clorox.

Colon earned her MBA in International Business from the University of Miami and a Bachelors of Arts degree in Advertising from the University of the Sacred Heart Santurce, Puerto Rico.
